3D Visualization: Form Addicts

The broad concept of the proposed intervention focuses in re-establishing the strong connection between the sea and the city that was lost with the construction of the existing infrastructure and the “new land” for the Olympics games. This connection is “build” in both direction: from the city to the see extending the urban texture of Athens and from the sea to the city by planting trees in every possible place, along the street and in the empty areas. The design approach for the park is to conceive the Faleron Waterfront as a dynamic coastal landscape that will act as the filter between the city and the sea. As the new coastline was developed through a series of landfills, we intend to conceive this space as an open space that echoes the dynamic characteristics of a Mediterranean waterfront.
